I have purchased a number of books from Vladimir Strunc and I can testify that they are of the highest quality. The detail in the high resolution photography of the specimens is like having an actual specimen to examine. Not only is the photography beyond par but the amount of information provided with each species provides the basis for a more detailed study. Also, the paper and binding are of exceptional quality. I am very happy that I have been able to add these volumes in my library. I applaud Dr. Strunc for taking on the task of providing Coleopterists with books that will help to further research and also to provide others with a better understanding of the field of entomology.

I have bought most of the superb beetle books produced so far by insect-books.com. I am a devotee of entomological iconography, and I find the illustrations within Vladimir's publications to be among the finest of the art, certainly comparable with much more expensive Japanese literature. The overall quality of the binding, text information and the general feel of these books are all flawless. I will continue to buy forthcoming volumes in the series and can recommend them without hesitation. Vladimir's ongoing project is, in my opinion, a very valuable contribution to the world of entomological literature.

I own several publications from Insect Books, including The Prionids of the World, The Prionids of the Neotropical Region, Jewel Beetles of the World, and Tiger Beetles of the World.
All of these books are excellently produced, with outstanding images and reliable, well-structured taxonomic information. They are invaluable references for researchers and beetle enthusiasts!

.I purchased the book as a gift, and the recipient was thrilled to receive such an amazing book as they are a macro photograper with a speciality in photographing live jewel beatles themselves [lifeunseen.com]. They loved the book, and it was a delight to add it to their collection.

I have purchased a number of books from Štrunc; the Carabidae of Africa volume and the three Tiger beetle books. For each I have purchased at least two; one for my library and one for donation to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh. I never have had a bad transaction; the books arrived quickly and with no damage, having been packed well for shipping. The books themselves are of high quality production and the pictures excellent, many of them showing species either never before figured or only rarely and in difficult to obtain papers. My only complaint simply is that by reducing the size of some of the pictures, more specimens per page can be figured. This has been done to a certain extent in the later issues of the books that I purchased. Overall, I would highly recommend these books to anyone with an interest in various groups of beetles.

Rezession Subfamily Prioninae of the World (1)

Jestem szczęśliwym posioadaczem kilku waszych książek i służą mi pomocą w porównywaniu gatunków, zapoznaniem się z wieloma gatunkami chrząszczy występujących w różnych rejonach świata. Vladimir Strunc's books on beetles are beautiful. I believe that using these in conjunction with older monographs which more often than not do not have illustrations can improve one's knowledge of beetles tremendously. The photographs and plates and presentation are gorgeous. [ CS
